Knife Swallower

Diane Arbus (March 14, 1923 – July 26, 1971) was an American photographer noted for photographs of marginalized people: dwarfs, giants, transgender people, nudists, circus performers and others whose normality was perceived by the general populace as ugly or surreal.

It is this type of honesty in images I absolutely love. Where a photography dares to expose the truth. "When I point my camera at something, I am asking a question, and the photograph is sometimes an answer."

She committed suicide on July 26, 1971, while living in New York City, by ingesting barbiturates and slashing her wrists with a razor. Peace be with you Diane.
